BHS Winterguard and Drumline at WGI competition

The Bettendorf High School Winterguard and Drumline competed in the Winterguard International (WGI) competition in Normal, Illinois, Saturday, February 17.

Twelve students on the Bettendorf High School Winterguard have worked with instructors Sarah McCabe and Nina Bouxsein to perfect their routine. The Winterguard performed the theme, "Allstar," using several songs from the band, Smashmouth.

"It was different than anything we have ever done before, but we had fun," said Sarah Greenawalt, a member of the Winterguard.

Both the Winterguard and Drumline placed second to last in their separate competitions.
